Summer wrap up

SO my Vermont trip was fun. We had a nice mix of family and other touristy/outdoorsy things. We went to the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory and had a tour there, as well as a look at the Flavor graveyard, we went to a cider factory and had some of the best apple cider ever, and we went to Montreal for a day to see the St Joseph oratory on the hill. We spend some time in the asian district and visited out ancestors town of Busseville....my Great great...times 7 grandfather was the city founder.

After the first reunion on my granmothers side, a group pf us went hiking on part of the appilation trail called the long trail. It was marked a "strenuous" hike and that it was. We went up and down and up and back down...but we all felf great at the end. It was cut down from two tp three days on account of bad knees, but we no one complained. It was refreshing being that much in touch with nature and up in the fresh mountain air.

That only brings us to monday, with a whole week of visits ahead. We stayed and one of my aunt and uncle's houses for the next three days, and that is when we did the other factory visits. Through the week we also visited my uncle Andrew's organic dairy farm, Uncle Danny's long cabin for a bond fire, and of course my Memere and Pepere's house.

Thursday was montreal and Friday was my mom's cousin's lake house and day of boating. Very nice. The next was another reunion where you are like "am I really related to all these people?" But it was by a lake with a vollyball net and lots of cousins with boats to take us out water skiiing. We stayed that night in a lake house with a bunch of cousins and aunts and uncles and I dug up some dirts on my mom's childhood.

The next day we visited my great grandmother in New Hampshire and then were off back home. We made it home for a softball game on Monday evening, thanks to everyone taking shifts through the night.

That brings us up a little more recently.
